Hi, I’m Allison! I’m originally from Maryland and earned my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Salisbury University in 2020 before completing my ultrasound training at UMBC in 2021. I’m currently finishing my Master’s in Healthcare Administration at Liberty University while working full-time as a healthcare recruiter and serving as AltTrack’s Executive VP of Pre-Meds. After several years performing ultrasounds and working directly in patient care, I decided to fully pursue medicine. I plan to matriculate at Wake Forest University School of Medicine as a member of the Class of 2030. I’m married to an active-duty U.S. Army officer, and we’re currently stationed in Georgia. I’m passionate about helping other nontraditional premeds find clarity, confidence, and community on their journey to becoming physicians.

Hi there, I’m Tenneh, and I’m super proud to serve as the Events Chair for AltTrack! I’m a 2023 graduate of the University of Virginia, where I majored in Psychology and minored in Health and Wellbeing. After graduation, I spent some time working as an ophthalmic medical scribe, working for an ophthalmic medical device company, and as a teacher for some of our smallest leaders! I also completed some DIY post-bacc coursework to finish up some pre-reqs at a community college and served on the Sunday School and Worship Teams at my church. In my free time, I love to sing, dance, watch cheesy romcoms, and spend time with my family and friends! :) I joined the AltTrack Team to provide a support system for nontraditional pre-medical and medical students as we navigate our journeys to medicine. AltTrack provides a nonjudgemental, supportive, and hopeful space for nontrads, and I’m so honored to be a part of it!

Hi! I’m Alissa Lopez, a medical student at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. I grew up along the U.S.–Mexico border and spent most of my life in Mexico. Spanish is my first language. I originally studied Químico Farmacéutico Biólogo at the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT), then went on to earn a master 's in biochemistry at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). I once planned to be a full-time researcher, but life had other plans and gave me a 180, from Cuernavaca, Morelos to South Texas, chasing the outlandish idea of medical school in the U.S. It was a wild and challenging ride, but I wouldn’t trade it. I joined AltTrack Med as the Belonging & Community Chair to help support other non-traditional students navigating their own unique paths.

Hello! I am Kimberly, and I’m excited to come on board as the Med Student Regional Representative for the Southeast region. I have just completed my first year of medical school as a military spouse and mother of four with multiple prior career changes. I am certainly a non-traditional medical student in every sense of the term! This journey has been far from easy, and I often wished early on that I had more support and guidance from doctors and medical students with a similar journey. I was very lucky to meet Mo through her Non-Trad Discord after I started the med school application process, and I am exceedingly grateful for the guidance and encouragement she gave me at that point in my journey, even from far away. I can’t wait to be able to offer that same guidance and encouragement to others who are on a similar path through use of this amazing program that she was essential in bringing to life!

in Medical Science at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. I earned my
Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Growing up in Texas as a military child allowed me to experience diverse communities and
develop a strong appreciation for service and giving back to others.
Outside of my pre-med journey, you can usually find me building miniature sets, playing video
games, or going to the gym. My goal in this role is to support nontraditional pre-meds
throughout their medical journey and help make the process feel less overwhelming. Although I
originally started as a traditional student, I was a first-generation pre-med with very limited
guidance and resources, so I understand how difficult navigating this path can feel alone. I hope
to provide students with the support, mentorship, and resources that I once had to search for on
my own.

Scott Rackham (he/him) is a pre-med student located in the Seattle metro area. Scott completed a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Brigham Young University in Utah. Growing up queer in a high-demand religion, and navigating his gay identity while enrolled at a religious university was one of the number of things that led to a 10 year detour to his dream of becoming a doctor. But after a career in primarily Healthcare Technology, Scott is excited to be back on this path and looks forward to helping other nontraditional pre-med students as they navigate the oftentimes complex and challenging road to becoming a physician. He believes that every pre-med student deserves support and resources to help make their dream a reality, especially nontraditional students. Scott lives with his husband and two french bulldogs, Rocky and Bullwinkle.
